THE AUTHOR

Robert Meganck is Professor Emeritus of Communication Arts at Virginia Commonwealth University where he taught classes in graphic design, illustration, color theory, and digital imaging. He received a BFA degree from the Center for Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan, and an MFA degree from Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.

After he retired from teaching, his illustration focus shifted from editorial illustration to children’s book illustration. He recently completed his seventh illustrated book for Peachtree Publishers. Style Weekly (September 5, 2007) named Robert Meganck one of Richmond’s top 25 most influential artists. Matthew Porter of Communication Arts Magazine called Robert “a delightfully fuzzy-headed raconteur.”
