Considered a righteous man, Joseph\u2019s simple prayer was to know God in a special way.\u00a0 Never in his wildest imagining did he expect God\u2019s answer; Jesus, God\u2019s Son, the long awaited Messiah was to be born into his home.<\/p>\n

\u201cHow am I\u2026.;\u00a0 Who am I to raise the Son of God in my home?\u201d<\/p>\n

There have been many kings and conquerors; many prophets and priests; but only one man has ever been chosen to raise the Son of God in his home.\u00a0 His name is Joseph.\u00a0 Details of his life are few and yet what is said tells us a great deal about him.\u00a0 Left behind him is a legacy we would all aspire to, for the Bible records in Matthew that Joseph was a righteous man.\u00a0 Accepting the role God gave him he adopted Jesus, somehow finding a way to love him both as a son and as his God.\u00a0 At the same time he raised his own children with Mary.\u00a0\u00a0 Somewhere between the 12th and 30th year of Jesus\u2019s life Joseph\u2019s calling was completed; premature from our perspective on his death, but not God\u2019s.\u00a0 Jesus would fulfill His purpose and carry away the sin of all mankind.\u00a0 On that foundation his family would join in helping build the church.\u00a0 It all took place more than two thousand years ago.\u00a0 What was Joseph like?\u00a0 How did it all happen?\u00a0 It could have been like this.<\/p>\n
